OFMD is working with Johnson Controls to upgrade the controls for the supply and exhaust air handling units (AHU-2 & EAHU-2) that serve the laboratories on the east and northeast side of the building…or roughly half of the laboratory facilities in MPRB. To minimize the impact on the lab occupants, the contractor will be completing this portion of the controls upgrades project on an overnight schedule as follows:
May 17th – May 22nd: 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM each night
May 26th – May 29th: 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM each night
May 31st – June 5th: 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM each night
June 7th – June 12th: 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM each night
During these work periods, there will be intermittent, reduced exhaust airflow to ALL of the non-BSL3 laboratories in the building. No work should occur in any fume hoods in the building during the work periods listed above.
The supply air unit (AHU-2) serving the affected areas will be off intermittently during the times noted above. Supply air and space temperature for these areas will be affected during the work periods listed above.
This outage will not affect any of the BSL3 labs in the building.
We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
