To improve safety facilities is installing/replacing fume hood monitors throughout the campus. This project is expected to continue through March of 2019. The work will be completed during off hours to reduced the impact on research. If your hood is part of the project you will be contacted by a facilities representative during the week leading up to the scheduled weekend for the work. The ask of the labs will be to have the fume hood empty and cleaned out by Friday 2pm the day before the weekend work will be conducted. EH&S will conduct a closeout of the fume hood once emptied and cleaned out and post a sign indicating the fume hood is ready for alarm installation. When you return to work on Monday, you can use begin to use your fume hood again. If you have experimental work during the scheduled time that cannot be removed from the hood, Facilities will work with you to schedule an alternate date. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the FISC.
We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
