Accreditation

The Emergency Management program at Washington University in St. Louis is focused on improving campus disaster resilience by developing programs based on the standards outlined by the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP).

EMAP is an independent non-profit organization that establishes credible, peer-developed and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) certified standards for assessing emergency management programs. The EMAP standards serve as clearly defined benchmarks for enhancing the management and coordination of prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities for the WashU campus.
