Overnight work to repave Duncan (between Taylor and Newstead), Newstead (from Duncan south to Clayton) and Clayton (between Taylor and Boyle) roads will begin on Friday, August 21st with a projected end-of-August completion. Work will begin nightly at 9pm and conclude by 5am the following morning. It entails milling (scraping) the top layer of old asphalt off and then repaving. They expect to mill a section, then pave it the following night. New permanent crosswalks will be painted, and traffic signals installed at Duncan/Newstead, Clayton/Newstead and Clayton/Taylor with dedicated turn lanes. No streets will be closed.
