The Emergency Management Department aims to improve the readiness of the WashU community by providing training and education, conducting fire drills, installing automated external defibrillators, designating emergency assembly points, and creating tools and resources to aid faculty, staff and students. It’s necessary for everyone to be ready prior to an emergency in order to save lives.
Emergency Assembly Points (EAPs)
Every building has an assigned Emergency Assembly Point. EAPs are a designated location for building occupants to gather during evacuations, fire alarms and fire drills. Use the maps below to identify your building’s EAP.
Building Emergency Plans
The new Building Emergency Plans are located on the School of Medicine, Danforth, North, South and West Campuses.
These maps are located in common areas such as stairwells, exits or elevator lobbies, and aid in mitigating medical emergencies, active shooter, severe weather, hazardous materials, fires and earthquakes.
